ABOUT THE PUBLISHER
Even from a young age, I have always been creative – singing, dancing, acting, so writing was just another avenue to keep my creative juices flowing. As with a lot of adolescents, I dabbled in fun poetry, then short stories. I knew that I would one day use this talent, but not sure in what capacity.
In 2000, I tried my hand at an illustrated book which I now refer to as my “practice book”. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with another publishing company. In 2007, I started my own independent publishing company to help new writers avoid the same mishaps that I had experienced. Six years later, while continuing to publish my clients’ works, I tried my hand at writing again and published my first “real” book. Over the next few years, I published three more books.
Being a writer myself, I understand the passion that goes into a creative piece and the need to have it “perfect”. In one of my posts, I compare it to a baby who you nurture and are reluctant to release into the world, but you do so because you know you’ve done your best, you’re proud and you want to share your creation. I work with each client personally and ensure that through editing, I maintain the writer's voice, his vision while working towards a professionally finished product.
I imagine the look on my clients’ faces when they open that box and see their book with their name on the front. They pick up that book and a large smile of pride cuts across their face. I know because I’ve been there. And it gives me great joy to know that I’ve helped someone realize their dream.
“I write to give myself strength. I write to be the characters that I am not. I write to explore all the things I'm afraid of. ”
