Why is Christmas important… today?

June 6, 2016

There are approximately 200 days until Christmas. And why, when summer is just around the corner, is this important? For writers wishing to release a book in time for Christmas sales, this is the time to finish the writing and finalise the tweaking before the publishing process begins.

Quite often, distracted by the warm weather, writers think that they still have a lot of time. Before you know it, Fall is here and there is still much to do. Once the writing is completed, the book must be edited,

corrections made or maybe even a second edit. The process of formatting, book cover design, not to mention acquiring an ISBN and CIP all take time. Even after the book is completed, there is printing and marketing.

Christmas sales start as early as October, right after the Thanksgiving turkey has been consumed. That is a mere four months away.

Are you ready? Will you have your book ready for Christmas sales? Dust off the manuscript you’ve been working on and put aside, and finish it up. Don’t let another opportunity pass you by.
